Hole one is a tempting par 5. A good tee shot will give you a good oppertunity to hit the green in two. The traditional play is to drive, lay up, then go for the green. Sweeping winds and an elevated green makes this green harder to hit than one thinks.

Hole two is a challenging par 4 that is a dog leg left. A good tee shot is essential. If you go right, you will not be able to see the pin or the green. Left side of Dawson Creek is out of bounds on your first shot. Anything left of the creek after your tee shot is fair game, but not reccomended for low scores.

Hole three is a straight forward uphill par 3. Hit the green and hope you stay below the hole. This is the toughest green at Dawson Creek. Sloping and sloping hard, a two putt is good on this hole. If the pin is in the front left you might want to think about taking a 5 and moving to the next hole.

Hole four is another tough par 4 that extends back across Dawson Creek. The hill plays a key role on this hole. Lay it short or try it make the top because hitting this green while standing at a slope is quite a task. Left side of the fence is out of bounds so keep it straight.

Hole five is a short par 4 running parallel to the agriculture that makes South Dakota great. However, if you hit the agriculture, another shot is required, it's out of bounds. This is one of only two holes on the course that Dawson Creek doesn't initially come into play, though it is possible with some work.

Hole six can be one of the most fun par 5's or one of the most frustrating. Getting over Dawson Creek and its foliage is only the first task. Avoid all obstacles and you will have a good chance at hitting this elevated green. Anything over the railroad tracks is out of bounds.

Hole seven is a tradition par 4. What you see, is what you get. Dawson Creek on the left is the obvious water hazard, left of Dawson Creek is out of bounds. Tee, fairway, green, it's that easy.

Hole eight is another short par 3 that can bite you if not careful. Cross Dawson Creek off the tee and then avoid it again spanning the right side of the hole. A bunker guards the left side so choose your club wisely.

Hole nine is a great finishing hole. What keeps you coming back for more? Your last hole of course. This hole gives you a good chance to end on a high note. No water, no sand. Trees up both sides of the fairway but the rather large green will do nothing but help. Tee her high and let her fly.
